Trunks and Barks

The tree trunk bark drawings seemed promising. The adults and teachers appreciated them. It was encouraging that, among other drawings, I got admission with these sheets in the studio of Prof. Anton Lehmden.
Anecdote: Finally, the pine tree with the expressive, reduced colorfulness caused Anton Lehmden to distance himself with the question: “Why did you do that?”
To my hesitant and quiet, “Because I wanted to see what it looked like,” he turned away without a word.
